Always use an appropriate backstop* for maximum safety.
When shooting at the target always have full view of the path to and beyond the target.
Never aim to draw your bow while facing any person or object other than an appropriate target.
Never allow anyone to retrieve arrows in the target until all arrows have been shot.
Inspect arrows for damage (cracks, splits or splinters) before each use. Discard any arrows with suspected damage.
Never dry fire (release the string without an arrow) your bow.
Remember, bows and arrows are not toys. For maximum safety and enjoyment, always exercise caution, common sense and safety rules when shooting.
* Backstop must be a durable material and extend beyond the target perimeter. Recommended size is subject to shooters accuracy and ability. (For example, lower accuracy shooters require larger targets.)
